Christmas At Cotton Plant Is World’s Largest Inflatable Light Display
Christmas in Cotton Plant is like no other. Located in Blue Mountain, Mississippi, over 500 inflatables are displayed for the public to see every year during the Christmas season.
Visitors can park their cars and walk through the lighted display. A host of real characters such as Rudolph, the Grinch, Santa Claus and others are stationed throughout the display for photo opportunities.
The Paul family owns the 13 acres of land that the display sits on. According to TLC, it is the largest collection of Christmas inflatables in America. The family was featured on the show “My Crazy Obsession” in 2012.
Inflatable characters of different movies, cartoons and television shows can be seen as you tour the display. From Santa Claus to the Grinch and Mickey Mouse to Star Wars, expect to be blown away as you turn each corner.
A special section dedicated to the real reason of Christmas, Jesus Christ’s birth, sits towards the middle of the display. Inflatables of the Nativity scene, the three wise men and angels are a sight to behold. The Paul family even has a 15 foot Jesus inflatable that takes your breath away.
Pathways are roped off with Christmas lights that lead you to each new section. According to the Paul family, it takes about three hours to blow up the inflatables everyday. They have help managing the display from nearby family and friends.
Visitors can tour the display now until Dec. 25. Special Christmas week hours are from 6 to 9 p.m., with no tour on Christmas Eve. It is located at 490 HWY 15, Blue Mountain, Mississippi.
