Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, December 15
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: seven alarms, seven suspicious activities, four welfare concerns, three civil matters, two ambulance assists, a petit larceny, a fire department assist, a motorist assist, a 911 hang-up call, an improper parking and an armed robbery at West Regions Bank located at 1800 Jackson Avenue West.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 21 traffic citations and made four arrests on the following charges:
Shoplifting
Possession of Schedule II narcotics
Careless driving and possession of drug paraphernalia
Expired tag, no insurance and driving with a suspended license
University police investigated a possession of drug paraphernalia at Campus Walk, traffic detail on Hill Drive and an accidental hit and run on Tad Smith Coliseum.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Alert by alarm panel at 9:29 a.m. at the South End Zone but there was no audible alarm upon arrival
Gas spill at 4:12 p.m. at Oxford Spot gas station where the gas was run out from the customer’s tank and soaked up with oil dry
