Oxford Crime Report: Friday – Sunday, December 11 – 13
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 14 alarms, 11 suspicious activities, six noise violations, six disturbances, five welfare concerns, five ambulance assists, four careless drivings, three malicious mischief, two improper parking, two lost properties, two 911 hang-up calls, two fire department assists, two trespassing, a civil matter, a shoplifting, harassing phone calls, an animal complaint, and an auto-burglary at 2000 Oxford Way.
Oxford police investigated 11 wrecks, issued 33 traffic citations and made 11 arrests on the following charges:

Public intoxication
Malicious mischief
Disorderly conduct
Suspended driver’s license
Speeding with a warrant served
Careless driving, no driver’s license and DUI
Illegal display of lights, suspended driver’s license and no insurance
No tag, suspended driver’s license and possession of Schedule IV narcotics
No seatbelts, suspended driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia
University police responded to the following incidents:
Friday, December 11

Simple assault in the Grove
Defrauding emails at Weir Hall
Report of a suspicious person at Alpha Delta Pi sorority house
Possession of drug paraphernalia with a fake ID at Stockard Hall
Moving violation per improper turn with a possession of drug paraphernalia on Chucky Mullins Drive

Disorderly conduct with failure to comply at Jackson Avenue Center

Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Friday, December 11
General fire alarm activation at 9:34 a.m. at The Connection due to a testing of the system without notifying the dispatch
Smoke detector malfunction at 7:27 p.m. at 634 North Lamar
Saturday, December 12
Smoke detector malfunction at 8:35 a.m. at 265 Pierce Extension
Cancelled call at 11:30 a.m. at Neilson’s
Water flow alarm at 4:53 p.m. at Winchester
Sunday, December 13
Several fire alarm stations were pulled at 2:26 a.m. at Molly Barr Road
Smoke detector malfunction at 1:23 p.m. at Alpha Tau Omega house
