Allstate Sugar Bowl Tickets Skyrocket in Sales

The Ole Miss Rebels will play Oklahoma State on New Years Day in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is the Rebels’ first Sugar Bowl since 1970, when Archie Manning was quarterback for Ole Miss.
This year, tickets are selling on popular ticket sites such as TicketMaster and TickeyCity.com starting at $150 a ticket and selling as much as $25,688 for suites in the Mercedes Dome.
Danny Dickey, an avid Ole Miss fan, sent HottyToddy.com a picture of an original ticket from the 1970 Sugar Bowl. The Ole Miss Rebels played at the Tulane Stadium and beat the Arkansas Razorbacks 27-22 and tickets were $7.

I’ll always remember the thrill of winning the game against the best team we played that year. Arkansas was talented and relentless, but so many of our players shared the same goal, beating our fourth top ten opponent and restoring Ole Miss to its prior ranking of a national power. It was a dream of mine to play for the Rebs in the Sugar Bowl . Reality surpassed the dream. I am really fired up for this year’s team to repeat our success. Congrats to the team, coaches, and fans. #70
