Update
Dec. 3, 2015
Check out the new time lapse video that a hottytoddy.com supporter sent in of the north end zone bleachers being torn down. Watch it here: http://oxblue.com/open/RAC/VHStadium
Out with the old and in with the new! The bleacher seating in the north end zone of the Ole Miss Vaught-Hemingway Stadium is completely gone as construction workers prepare to close in the stadium.
Construction to expand the stadium’s size began right after the Ole Miss victory over LSU, the last home game of the 2015 football season, on Nov. 21. The stadium expansion will seat 64,038 people when it is completed.
Along with new seating, the north end zone will also have a plaza and a bell tower to mark the end of the Walk of Champions. Columns will be added for the Jake Gibbs Letterwinner Walk, which will feature every athlete’s name that has won a varsity letter at Ole Miss.
Rebel fans will also be pleased with new video and auto equipment in the stadium. The Ole Miss Forward Together campaign has raised $200 million in fundraising for such projects as the stadium expansion.
