Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, December 1
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: five alarms, five disturbing the peace, three motorist assists, two parking complaints, a fire department assist, a harassment, a welfare concern, a simple assault, a trespassing, and a false pretense.
Oxford police investigated 12 wrecks, issued 40 traffic citations and made six arrests on the following charges:
(2) Warrant served
Public drunk
Careless driving with DUI to first degree
Malicious mischief and domestic disturbance
Trespassing, disorderly conduct and harassment
University police responded to the following incidents: a simple assault following a call of a disturbance at Burns Hall, an accidental hit and run on Sorority Row, a vehicle accident on Chucky Mullins Drive, a vehicle accident at Khayat Law School, an auto burglary at Howry Hall, a vehicle accident on campus, and a petit larceny at Kincannon Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Water flow alarm malfunction at 7:16 a.m. at Campus Creek
Resident call at 1:09 p.m. reporting a smell of gas at 3802 Majestic Oaks Drive but the report was unfounded
