Patricia Guy – Aggravated DUI

This morning on Monday, November 30, the Oxford police investigators officially charged Patricia Guy (62 of Memphis, Tennessee) with one count of Aggravated DUI. She was involved in a deadly crash on Thanksgiving day at approximately 1:38 p.m. The police arrived on scene and found two wrecked vehicle with one person appearing to have been ejected. The police officers identified that person as Virginia Dillard (37 of Oxford), who was later pronounced dead as a result from her injuries. The Oxford police has served a warrant for Patricia Guy’s blood and sent the blood to the Mississippi State Lab for testing. In the meanwhile, Guy’s bond was set at $50,000.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Oxford police will release more information when available.

Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 13 suspicious activities, nine alarms, nine disturbances, six careless drivings, four fire department assists, four 911 hang up calls, two noise violations, two harassing phone calls, two ambulance assists, an animal complaint, a grand larceny, a motorist assist, a welfare concern, an improper parking, a shoplifting, a civil matter and a credit card fraud.

Oxford police also report four burglaries: three at SaddleCreek, one at G&M Pharmacy and one at Riverside.

Oxford police investigated 16 wrecks, issued 40 traffic citations and made seven arrests on the following charges:

Trespassing
No headlights, no driver’s license and no insurance
Careless driving with possession of Schedule II narcotics

Smoke detector malfunction at 7:08 a.m. at Townhouse Suites by Marriott
Standby at 2:55 p.m. while a chlorine tank was changed out at Winchester
A relay call (10-25) at 5:58 p.m. at Winchester
Smell of smoke at 7:24 p.m. with a main breaker tipped on University Trails – maintenance arrived shortly
Thursday, November 26
Cancelled call at 1:38 p.m. at 137 Leighton Road
Fire alarm malfunction at 8:50 p.m. at The Village Building 131
Friday, November 27
Water flow alarm at 2:44 a.m. at The Hub
Water flow alarm at 12:43 p.m. with discovery of a leaking valve at the Hub
Dumpster fire at 2:30 p.m. at 1438 North Lamar
Saturday, November 28
Dumpster fire at 7:53 p.m. at 265 North Lamar parking lot
Sunday, November 29
Hallway smoke detector at 9:12 p.m. to which a resident met the fire department and said everything was okay at 6 Highland Place
Smoking car at 9:35 p.m. due to a brake light shorting out in the Layfayette Place parking lot
