Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, November 19
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: five disturbances, four suspicious activities, three ambulance assists, three alarms, two harassing phone calls, two 911 hang up calls, a careless driving, a noise violation, a counterfeit currency, a lost property, a credit card fraud, a scam, a forgery, a code violation, an identity theft, and a motorist assist.
Oxford police investigated 13 wrecks, issued 24 traffic citations and made 13 arrests on the following charges:
(5) Public intoxication
DUI
Careless driving and DUI
No tag nor driver’s license
Public intoxication and fake ID
Expired tag, open container and DUI
Possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI
Careless driving, no car insurance and DUI
Failure to dim headlights, no car insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia and a fake ID
University police responded to the following incidents: four vehicle stops, a public drunk on Rebel Drive, a report of a suspicious person at Stockard Hall, a disturbance at Northgate Apartments, and a vehicle accident at Khayat Law School.
