Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, November 18
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: seven disturbances, two noise violations, two suspicious activities, two 911 hang up calls, two careless drivers, two ambulance assists, a fire department assist, a lost property, a credit card fraud, a grand larceny, a false pretense, an animal complaint, a harassing phone call, and a welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated zero wrecks, issued 14 traffic citations and made 11 arrests on the following charges:

(2) Domestic violence
Shoplifting
Simple assault
Public intoxication
Minor in possession
Ran a stop sign with a minor in possession
No headlights and possession of drug paraphernalia
University police responded to the following incidents: four vehicle stops, a suspicious person at Northgate Apartments, a possession of alcohol by a minor at Stockard Hall, a reported larceny of bicycles, and a service call for an ambulance at Blackburn-McMurray Complex.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents:
Fire alarm at 2:19 a.m. caused by someone tampering with the tamper switch on the 11th-floor fire alarm at Martin Hall
Small fire at 7:25 a.m. to which the Oxford Electric disconnected the power to pole and the Oxford Fire Department used a water extinguisher to put the fire out
Medical emergency at 6:57 p.m. at to which the victim had a severe ankle injury and no ambulance was available so the fire department stabilized the victim so a friend can transport to the ER in a personal vehicle
Report of a breaker box malfunction at 9:57 p.m. at Oxford Wheel Estates but the fire department did not find anything wrong with the breaker box
