Oxford Crime Report: Monday, November 16
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: eight malicious mischief, six suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, two alarms, an ambulance assist, a simple assault, an auto burglary at Clearbrook, a business burglary at Cato Fashions, harassing phone calls, a simple assault, a careless driving, a disturbance, a motorist assist and a lost property.
Oxford police investigated three wrecks, issued 17 traffic citations and made three arrests on the following charges:
Simple assault
Careless driving and DUI
Possession of drug paraphernalia
University police responded to the following incidents: a vehicle stop at Dormitory Row West, a traffic assist at Tad Smith Coliseum, a motor vehicle accident on Rebel Drive, a motor vehicle accident on Sorority Row, a reported vehicle accident on university campus, and a credit card fraud (first offense) at Delta Gamma house.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents:
Smoke detector malfunction at 4:21 p.m. in classroom A05 at Jackson Avenue Center
Prank pull of fire alarm at 11:54 p.m. at Rafter’s Bar and Grill
