Onward to One Hundred
On Sunday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m., Wellspring Community Church will have their first service in their newly expanded worship facility, located at 119 Old Taylor Road in Oxford, Miss.Wellspring Community Church is in its final stages of a month long renovation that will expand the church’s worship space, to now seat over 100 people.
The hashtag #onwardto100 was started by Pastor Nathaniel Rios, to track the church’s renovation process.
“When we first started, we utilized the building in its former state as a tutoring building,” Rios said. “But now, with the expansion, we have something that is tailored to us and gives us a sense of home, as well as room for growth. I want people to experience a warm welcome when they enter our sanctuary, as well as a sense of excellence in our presentation.”
Wellspring Community Church has used the facility since May of 2015, but began the renovation in October of 2015.
Nathaniel Lewis, a member of the Wellspring church body, said, “It opens up a world of possibilities. I’m just ready to see what God has in store for our church now that we are finally reaching the end of the expansion process.”
Anna Hubbard, another Wellspring member said, “It allows us to accommodate more of the community, and allow them to have a comfortable place to worship in their own way.”
