Graduate Gives Back for Holiday Season
The Graduate Hotel, the new boutique hotel located on 400 North Lamar Boulevard, has a seasonal charitable initiative starting this November.
With November comes the season of giving and Graduate Oxford is wasting no time getting in the holiday spirit.
Throughout the month of November, The Coop’s pecan pie, served with cinnamon ice cream and bourbon sauce, or Cabin 82’s Mississippi Mud Cheesecake, served with fudge, Snickers and chocolate graham cracker crust, will be sweeter because 50 percent of the profits from these orders will be donated by The Graduate to local charity: Oxford Lovepacks.
Founded in 2010, Oxford Lovepacks provides supplemental food to school age children in need over the weekends and holidays.
Lovepacks stated its mission: “We can beat hunger! In the future, we hope to be able to help as many children as are in real distress. We can do this if the community, the churches, and the civic organizations support the LOVEPACKS program. The possibilities are only limited by our compassion. If everyone who has a little to give will do what they can, we can see that no child in the Oxford community has to go hungry!”
