Head Coach Freeze Prepares Rebels for Home Game Against Arkansas Razorbacks
Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze met with the media this Monday morning after defeating the Auburn Tigers 27-19 in Auburn, Alabama.
“I was really proud of our kids and staff as they went on the road and handled a hostile environment pretty well”, Coach Freeze said. “Only thought twice in the game that we didn’t handle the environment as well as we could have.”
In 66 plays of the 73 total plays the Land Shark defense held Auburn to only 170 yards. The Rebels gave up seven explosive plays which netted the Tigers to a total of 240 yards of offense.
“We were excellent on the critical downs as they were 2-for-17 and excellent in the red zone against again an offense that gives you a lot of problems,” Coach Freeze said.
The Rebels are now preparing for their tenth straight game this weekend as they host the Arkansas Razorbacks. Coach Freeze is impressed that the Razorbacks has continued to improve all season long.
Arkansas lost some difficult games early on in the season, but the losses haven’t seemed to rattle Arkansas.
“They give you a lot of problems offensively because of their schemes and talent,” said Freeze. “They are able to pound it at you as you commit to the box with a quarterback who is playing with a very high level and they are super well-coached at doing what they do.”
This game will be a great challenge for the Rebels and they are looking forward to it. The Rebels need the fans to show up in a big way so the team can feed off of the crowd’s energy.
Ole Miss and Arkansas will kickoff at 2:30 Saturday afternoon on CBS.

Put the people’s flag back up now. Since you stuck you nose into this and help the ones who are ashamed of the Mississippi and majority you will be held accountable along with the other ones responsible for the injustice that had occurred. I urge anyone who cares and loves our State too no long support anything at this rouge School until they correct the injustice than they they done.

I am so amazed that you call it the people’s flag! It’s not my flag! It’s a disgrace that the University had to take a stand because, it should have been voted out long ago. It holds our state back to a time of shame! This was not the place to have this discussion!
I’m proud of our University, our Rebels, and our coaches! Let’s beat Arkansas!

I agree.. whether you think that it is a disgrace or not it is still OUR state flag.. Ole Miss is a public university funded BY THE STATE. If Ole Miss refuses to comply with state regulations then they should not recieve state funding until it is replaced. If Mississippi is such a disgrace then move to another state where you aren’t so shamed. We are rich in heritage here and regardless of the history of our state that you dont like it is still our history. NEWS FLASH… the University Greys which was a civil war unit from Ole Mis fought for the Confederacy. Dont like it… leave

There is no legal provision stating the state flag has to fly at state institutions – and the state gives so little money to the universities that they are very close to becoming private institutions. Time to move forward. GO REBELS !!!! so proud of these kids for making such positive statement – the future is ahead of us, not behind. When we dropped the confederate flag at football games the university grew by millions of donated dollars and research grants – it’s time to see that kind of progress for the state as a whole. Happy to have a coach that can see that kind of future for all of us.

Freeze has not been pro-active on the flag issue. He has not tweeted, or made unsolicited comments. He has had to respond to media questions. Now, keep in mind that bjork and stocks have been very vocal on changing the flag long before they took it down.
stocks and bjork are his bosses, it seems unlikely he would throw them under the bus. anyone here want to stab their boss in the back? i have no idea how freeze really feels about the flag, but given the circumstances I think his comments are open to question.
personally, I think the legislature should mandate that all state facilities display the current flag and then they should set a vote in the 2016 ….it is amusing though that the pro-change folks seem to be afraid of a vote since they were destroyed in the first vote i guess that is understandable

Some of you posters must not have gotten the university memo that came out in 1983. Om is no longer associated with the Confederate flag! Take your flag agenda elsewhere and stop trying to “use” OM to promote your whatever it is. MS needs a flag that ALL citizens can be proud of that unifies and not divides.
