RE/MAX Legacy Realty: A Realty Family
RE/MAX Legacy Realty has been a growing part of the Oxford community since its inception. Working with thousands of clients from Oxford, surrounding towns and other cities all over the country, they have expanded into one of the largest real estate companies in the area.
Managing broker Tena Taylor joined the team in 2009. She attributes much of RE/MAX’s success to the agents, whom she considers not only coworkers, but also a family.
“I come from a very big Italian family,” Taylor said. “And my comparison is that those I work with are just like that. We’re a big huge family that relies on each other, has discussions with each other, and I could not ask for a better group.”
Taylor has seen that “family” grow since her hiring in 2009, when RE/MAX Legacy had 10 agents. Compare that to today, where there are now 33 agents from different backgrounds who treat each other as part of one big family.
One of these agents is realtor Jackie Pegues. Pegues has worked for RE/MAX Legacy for two years, but has been in real estate for 19 years. She sees a few differences at RE/MAX compared to companies she has worked for in the past.
“The biggest difference between here and places I’ve worked in the past is that I really love the relationships I have with the other agents,” Pegues said. “In real estate, agents are independent. So, we are always working on our own projects, but we all have a family relationship. Everyone is always doing their own thing but always checks on each other, say if one of us gets sick or has a family emergency.”
That family cohesiveness translates into good relationships with clients. One of RE/MAX Legacy’s clients is Ole Miss student Luke Gaffney, who has been a client for over a year.
“They make it really easy,” Gaffney said, “I found a house I wanted to look into. I called my realtor at RE/MAX, and they helped me out. They did a great job and made the process really easy.”
This “family” works for everyone in and around Oxford, whether it is housing for locals, housing for students or second homes for people from out of town. These clients come to RE/MAX with a need, and that need is met.
There is no doubt that with the tremendous growth in the Oxford area combined with RE/MAX Legacy’s track record of success, this realty “family” will continue to grow. As RE/MAX Legacy welcomes new members, these new additions will continue the tradition of working together for the Oxford community just like those who helped grow the company to where it is today.
