Oxford Police Arrest Suspect on Charges of a Local Murder
At approximately 3:30 p.m. today, Oxford police arrested Nathaniel Arnez Huddleston for the murder of Kenneth Roberson.
The Oxford police department investigators arrested Huddleston in Jackson with the help of the U.S. Marshals.
“I would like to thank the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the United States Marshalls Service for their cooperative efforts on this case,” said Chief East. “Everyone has worked on this non-stop and we are glad to have this person in custody.”
Huddleston will be transported to Oxford where he will be taken before a judge to have his initial appearance.
At approximately 1:35 a.m. last Saturday, the Oxford police responded to a welfare call directing them to 1004 Molly Barr Road. Upon arrival the officers found Kenneth Roberson, 52 years old, deceased inside the home. Results from the state autopsy determined that the cause of death was the result of gunshot wounds.
