Oxford Crime Report: Monday, October 19
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: seven alarms, three disturbing the peace, three suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, three larcenies, three parking complaints, two lost and found properties, two frauds, an animal complaint, an ambulance assist, a harassing phone call, and a civil matter.
Oxford police investigated 10 wrecks, issued 18 traffic citations and made no arrests.
University police responded to the following incidents: five vehicle stops, a moving violation with a possession of drug paraphernalia, a hit and run on Sorority Row, a vehicle damaged at Women’s Terrance and a harassment at Lamar Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smell of smoke at 2:08 a.m. at 801 Bickerstaff
Medical assist at 9:39 a.m. at Oxford Middle School due to no ambulance being available
Fire drill at 2:01 p.m. at the Federal Building
Cancelled call at 2:16 p.m. at Elsohly
Smoke detector malfunction at 5:02 p.m. at the Alpha Tau Omega house
Cancelled calls at 5:20 p.m. and 5:26 p.m. about a wreck on Industrial Park Road
