Ole Miss Soccer kicked off the game on a cold night against No. 10 Auburn in the NSCAA. A rambunctious crowd with 1500 attendees fully packed the stands last night!

With seven minutes left in the first half of the game, Auburn scored own goal on an Ole Miss cross. The first half ended 1-0.

The next half began with Ole Miss in the lead. The Rebels kept their strong momentum. Senior Addie Forbus scored four minutes into the second half. With under five minutes left in the fight Ole Miss remained in the lead 2-0. The No. 21 Rebels ended the game victoriously over No. 10 Auburn at 2 to 0!

The soccer game had 1500 attendees last night, Friday Oct. 16.

After the victory, Bethany Bunker, who scored a goal, said, “We came out hard and we fought and we fought until the end. We did it for Samantha Sanders who’s at home. Because we fought so hard, we put them out!”

Co-defensive player of the week Maddie Friedmann said, “I think everyone out on the field today put a huge defensive effort and we came out with a win!”

Following after the awesome victory against the Tigers, Ole Miss will face their next battle against Tennessee next Friday at 6 p.m.
