Fun Around Oxford: Fall Day Trips for the Weekend
Changes occur as fall enters. Orange, yellow and brown color the outside world, the temperature cools, there are shorter days with less sunlight and the secret excitement of women for new fashion trends follow.
As you walk outside, the air is engrossed with the fresh scent of leaves that have fallen to the ground. Food companies highlight new additions to their menus by accompanying the plague of “basics”- pumpkin flavor for everything digestible.
Imprinted in our minds by childhood memories, you can’t forget fun activities that follow the fall season –pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hayrides, haunted houses, pumpkin carving and caramel apples.
There aren’t places that offer this kind of thing in Oxford, but on away game weekends you can take a small trip outside of town and enjoy a few pumpkin patches that offer some of these activities!
