Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, October 13
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four alarms, three suspicious activities, three disturbances, two disturbing the peace, a civil matter and a fraud.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 48 traffic citations, and made one arrest on a charge of being a public drunk.
University police responded to the following incidents: one vehicle stop on Sorority Circle, an intoxicated person on Northgate Drive, a request for emergency medical services for an intoxicated person at Pi Beta Phi sorority house, a vehicle accident in Sorority lot, a possession of alcohol by minor and possession of drug paraphernalia at Stockard Hall, and an intoxicated person at Stewart Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Fire extinguishers being used at 12:03 a.m. as a prank at the Sigma Nu house
Smoke through vents at 6:23 p.m. by the A/C unit at 112 Saucer Lane
Water flow alarm at 9:33 p.m. by water leaking out of the sprinkler system at JPG Apparel
