Looking back at the game film from the 52-3 victory over New Mexico State, the coaching staff saw some good things from the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Though they executed some explosive plays, the team has to continue to improve and clean some areas up.
This weekend the Rebels play an outstanding football team in Memphis, considering all of the excitement and enthusiasm around their program, players, coaching staff and administration. Memphis definitely is a quality football team.
The Tigers are playing with a lot of confidence and a very confident quarterback in Lynch, who coach Freeze states is one of the better ones he has seen on film.”He takes care of the ball and puts it were it needs to go and can make all the throws. He is a very good, talented kid with good players around him,” Freeze said
“It’s going to be a great challenge for us, and hopefully, we can get our team a bit more healthy this week and be ready for a difficult challenge in Memphis on Saturday,” Freeze said.
On the Ole Miss injury report coming into this game, Jones is going through concussion protocol, Engram, Kalo and Coyners are listed as day-to-day, and coach Freeze expects Bell, String and Walton back this week.
Concerning offensive tackle junior Laremy Tunsil, Coach Freeze said “All I’ve been told is that we hope to get an answer early this week.”
If the coaching staff gets good news on Laremy (Tunsil), he will slide right in to the game plan on Saturday.
With this game just being played up the road on I-55 in the Liberty Bowl, Coach Freeze stated he knew how much this game meant to the rivalry between the two schools.
The Tigers are coached by Justin Fuente, who has always been a good offensive coach and they will game plan well.
There quarter back is really good and the offense has a lot of moving parts.

If this site is supposed to represent Ole Miss then really need to run grammar checks. Quoting Coach Freeze saying Chad puts the ball “where” it needs to go, not were. And last sentence should be “their” not “there”.

C’mon, Ladies. Lighten up. BTW, Coach Freeze wasn’t referring to Chad. He was being very gracious in complimenting the Memphis QB.

“Lighten up?” I agree with the ladies. If you’re going to write something on a public space such as a blog, you could at least run a grammar check.
