Niche Ranks University of Mississippi Among Top 100 Public Universities
Once again, the University of Mississippi has been ranked in the top public universities. Niche.com has ranked University of Mississippi 59th among 100 public universities in the United States.
In nine graded categories, The University of Mississippi earned three A’s in student life, athletics and campus quality; four B’s in academics, value, professors and diversity; with two C’s on local area and safety.
Niche.com also conducted student surveys on the overall experience at The University of Mississippi and reported an average of 4.4 out of 5 from 108 responders.
Niche.com is a service website whose purpose to help U.S. citizens make informed decisions on relocation to towns, cities and universities as well as K-12 schools. This year, 515 public colleges were ranked out of 1713 colleges listed.
The website used ten categories to grade these universities. Academics and value had the largest percentages at 25 percent each. In academics, Niche evaluated acceptance rate, quality of professors and student/alumni surveys. The University of Mississippi received a B+ in academics.
In value, Niche evaluated the statistics of average student loan amount, alumni earnings and student/alumni surveys. In this category, The University of Mississippi received a B.
