#5 Beginner Mountain Bike Ride
Thursday October 1 at 5:15 p.m. Chucky Mullins Drive
Whether you’re a mountain biking newbie or an old pro, join up for this free biking event. It starts at the trail head on Chucky Mullins near the Ole Miss campus.
#4 Cary Hudson Show
Sunday October 4 (7 p.m.) at Taylor Grocery
Stop in to Taylor Grocery to hear some great music from and eat the South’s best catfish (and their chicken is pretty good too!).
#3 Water Liars in Concert
Friday October 2 (9 p.m.) at Proud Larry’s
Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 day of show. Concert features special guest Holy Ghost Electric Show. Doors open at 8 p.m. Listen to a snippet of the Water Liars sound prior to the show to discover more about this Southern-rooted band, as their self-titled LP is out now.
#2 Pumpkin Picking
Sunday October 4 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church
There are several places to pick your perfect pumpkin in Oxford, but at St. Peter’s, you can volunteer to help others find their Great Pumpkin (or an itty-bitty pumpkin, if you have little ones). Pumpkins range in price from $1-$24, depending on size.
Even though the Rebs are traveling to Gainsville to take on those pesky Gators on Saturday, pack up the family and head to the Vaught to watch the game on the big screen.
