Rebel Women’s Basketball Finalize 2015-16 Schedule
The Ole Miss women’s basketball team completed its 2015-16 schedule and has made several time adjustments. The Rebels, who will open the $95 million Pavilion at Ole Miss in January, have 17 home games including a matchup with Mississippi State on Feb. 21, which will air on ESPN2 at 4 p.m. CT.
The Rebels have adjusted the time of its non-conference match up with Louisiana Lafayette to 7 p.m. to accommodate an SEC Network broadcast. Ole Miss’ matchup with the Ragin’ Cajuns will be the first televised women’s basketball contest of the 2015-16 season.
Times have also been finalized for the non-conference games at Middle Tennessee and Stony Brook. The Rebels will take on the Blue Raiders at 1 p.m. on Nov. 22 in a game that will be televised by Fox Sports and Ole Miss will play the Seawolves on Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. in New York.
Additionally, tipoff times have been finalized for Ole Miss’ Jan. 7 and Feb. 25 conference games vs. LSU and South Carolina. Ole Miss and LSU will tipoff at 7:30 p.m. in Baton Rouge on January 7 while it will be an 8:00 p.m. tipoff in Oxford against the Gamecocks on Feb. 25. Both games will be a part of the SEC Networks whip-around coverage featuring live look-ins from all seven games each day. Each game will be available in its entirety on SEC Network+.
The lone game time still outstanding is an away contest at Wagner on Nov. 29.
In total, Ole Miss will make 11 television appearances in 2015-16, including its first appearance on ESPN2 since the 2009-10 season. Additionally, all Ole Miss home games not selected for television will be produced for SEC Network + and will be available on WATCHESPN and SECSports.com.
ESPN2 and ESPNU will produce a combined 13 conference contests and the SEC Network will televise more than 40 conference games. New for the 2015- 16 season, the SEC Network will present two nights of whip- around coverage, a live look- in to every women’s basketball contest played on Thursday, January 7th and Thursday, February 25.
All of the games included in the ESPN package (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU) and the SEC Network will be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 or Xbox One to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider. Fox Sports Net events will be available via these avenues outside the SEC Footprint only.
