Oxford Crime Report: Thursday, September 24
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: seven alarms, five suspicious activities, four noise violations, two lost properties, a disturbance, a simple assault, a credit card fraud, a 911 hang up call, and a malicious mischief.
Oxford police investigated nine wrecks, issued 40 traffic citations and made 20 arrests on the following charges

University police responded to the following incidents: eight vehicle stops, a moving violation per switched tag on Grove Loop, and a vehicle accident on Chucky Mullins Drive.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smoke detector activation at 3:23 p.m. due to smoke from a BBQ grill at Kappa Sigma house
Smoke detector malfunction at 8:18 p.m. at Natural Products
