This weekend Ole Miss returns to the confines of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium as they host the Vanderbilt Commodores in a SEC tilt. Kick off is at 6 pm and will be on ESPNU.

No. 3 Ole Miss (3-0, 1-0) comes into the game after a 43-37 victory over No.2 Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Which is the first time since Ole Miss has defeated Alabama on the road since 1988 and the first time the Rebels have defeated the Tide in consecutive years.

The Rebels lead the nation in scoring offense by putting up 64.0 points per game. Ole Miss has not trailed in a game all season.

Junior quarterback Chad Kelly has been lightening up the stats sheets this season by leading the conference with a 205.7 passing efficiency, 9 passing touchdowns and he is responsible for 72 points thus far on the year.

The Landshark defense has Ole Miss tied for the national lead with 10 turnovers forced and seven interceptions.

Vanderbilt (1-2, 0-1) rolls into Oxford after picking up their first win of the season over Austin Peay by the score of 47-7. The Commodores are anchored by a stingy defense that allows 17.3 ppg, and 270.7 yards per outing.

Sophomore quarterback Johnny McCrary is the SEC leader in total offense (332.0 ypg) and has completed 70 of 117 passes for 880 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions. Sophomore WR Trent Sherfield is the league leader with 21 catches and 347 yards, while nabbing a pair of touchdowns. Sophomore RB Ralph Webb leads the team with 192 rushing yards and two TDs.

When the game gets underway Saturday, it will be the 90th meeting all-time between this two schools, with the Rebels leading the series 49-38-2. The Commodores have been victorious only six times in Oxford.

At Saturday’s game, Ole Miss will honor former SEC Commissioner Mike Slive in the Prostate Cancer Awareness game.

This game has always been special ever since that play where Chucky Mullins made the hit on Brad Gaines which left Mullins paralyzed from the neck down. Every season a Ole Miss defensive player gets the honor to wear the No. 38 as they receive the Chucky Mullins courage award this season senior Mike Hilton is the recipient.

Fans that can’t make it to the game can watch all the action on ESPNU or listen to the game on the radio as David Kellum will have the call.
