Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, September 22
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: two suspicious activities, a sheriff’s office assist, an ambulance assist, a 911 hang up call, a careless driver, an improper parking, a lost property and a harassing phone call.
Oxford police investigated nine wrecks, issued 16 traffic citations and made eight arrests on the following charges:
Warrant served
Speeding and DUI
Public intoxication
Suspended driver’s license
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of drug paraphernalia and fake ID
Ran a stop sign and possession of drug paraphernalia
No headlights, minor in possession and possession of drug paraphernalia
University police department responded to the following incidents: a vehicle stop on Grove Loop, a possession of drug paraphernalia at Kincannon Hall, a harassment at Brevard Hall, an accidental hit and run at Stewart Hall, a traffic detail on Hill Dive, and a service call for an ambulance at Union.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a request for help at 12:06 a.m. due to residents locking themselves out of the apartment at Highland Square and a cancelled call at 12:48 p.m. at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
