Oxford Crime Report: Monday, September 21
Charryse Robinson – Shoplifting
On Sunday, September 20, the Oxford police officers arrested Charryse Robinson, 27 of Glendora, for felony shoplifting. Robinson was stopped by Wal-Mart Loss Prevention as she exited the store without paying for her items. Robinson was given a bond of $5,000.
Markita Calhoune – Shoplifting
On Sunday, September 20, the Oxford police officers arrested Markita Calhoune, 22 of Cleveland, for felony shoplifting. Calhoune was stopped by Wal-Mart Loss Prevention as she exited the store without paying for her items. Calhoune was given a bond of $5,000.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three harassments, two malicious mischief, two motorist assists, two lost properties, two alarms, a fire department assist, a 911 hang up call, a petit larceny, a careless driver, a suspicious activity and a forgery.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued six traffic citations and made three arrests on the following charges:
Expired tag and possession of drug paraphernalia
Suspended driver’s license and DUI
Warrant served
University police responded to the following incidents: eight vehicle stops, a service call for an ambulance at Martin Hall and a service call for an ambulance at Pittman Hall.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Smoke detector activated at 1:47 p.m. by cooking at The Village – Building 110
Smoke detector activated at 6:04 p.m. by a curling iron at the Phi Mu house
Oven element sparking at 8:34 p.m. at 41 Rubin Drive – Apartment 31
