After a 43-37 victory for Ole Miss over Alabama in Tuscaloosa, the Ole Miss Rebels made this week’s cover of Sports Illustrated magazine. Ole Miss safety Trae Elston is featured on the magazine cover in a story by Andy Staples.

Elton is shown screaming after the victory with the photo’s tagline “Re-Embrace The Mayhem,” in regards to the Rebels beating the Crimson Tide in two back-to-back consecutive seasons. This is also the first time since 1988 that Ole Miss went into Bryant-Denny Stadium and walked out with a win. The victory snapped a 17-game home-winning streak, which was tied with Baylor for the longest in FBS.

In October 2014, Ole Miss and Mississippi State shared the cover as they both were in the top 5 in the nation according to the Associated Press Poll.

The magazine hits the stands this week.
