The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the Highway 328 in Lafayette County this Wednesday, September 23.
Highway 328 is located one-half mile east of Country Road 337 / Old River Road in Lafayette County. MDOT crew closes this road so it can replace an existing bridge with a box culvert. Motorists are advised to find alternate routes around the construction area.

There should be some sort of signs informing motorist of the road being closed ahead of time. We do not know its closed until you get to the location.where its closed. This is very unprofessional and frustrating because then an alternate has to be figured out randomly and it throws the motorist late for where they may be traveling. Many of us have discussed this amongst ourselves and many have stated the same concerns…For the record the next time there is a road being closed please inform the motorist ahead of time with signage they need pr shoild detour due to uocoming road closinb it will most definitely leave motorist with tge indication you attempted to care and have frustration minimized.
