Oxford Crime Report: Friday – Sunday, September 18 – 20
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 17 alarms, 17 suspicious activities, 10 noise violations, seven welfare concerns, seven disturbances, three petit larcenies, three harassing phone calls, two burglaries at Elmore Drive and The Hub, two animal complaints, two improper parking, two ambulance assists, two credit card fraud, a littering, a motorist assist, a lost property, a malicious mischief, a 911 hang up call, a code enforcement violation, a scam, a false pretense, a careless driver and a fire department assist.
Oxford police investigated 14 wrecks, issued 64 traffic citations and made 31 arrests on the following charges:

Possession of Xanax
Minor in possession
Disturbing the peace
Harassing phone calls

Malicious mischief and disorderly conduct
Careless driving, suspended driver’s license and DUI
Domestic violence, possession of marijuana and warrant served
No seatbelt, expired tag, no insurance and driving with suspended license
No child restraint, no headlights, no driver’s license, child endangerment due to DUI and DUI
Careless driving, possession of schedule IV narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI

Petit larceny at Turner Center
Public drunk with fake ID on Fraternity Row
Saturday, September 19
Six vehicle stops
Vehicle accident at Kappa Delta house
Vehicle accident on Rebel Drive
Moving violation per improper equipment on Fraternity Row
Speeding with a suspended driver’s license and no car insurance on university campus
Sunday, September 20
Five vehicle stops
Petit larceny at Ole Miss Union
Moving violation per driving on the wrong side of the Rebel Drive
Suspicious vehicle check with discovery of a possession of drug paraphernalia in Kincannon field lot
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents:

Smoke detector activated at 10:31 p.m. by burned food at The Rooster’s
Saturday, September 19
EMS assistance at 5:05 p.m. with lifting a patient at 109 Red Rose Lane
Fire alarm at 5:40 p.m. pulled by a resident at Oxford Health & Rehab
