Oyster and Seafood Restaurant is set to open Thursday, September 16, at 1518 Jackson Avenue West in the same shopping center as Papa John’s and Rice n Spice.

The new menu will feature American food with a touch of Asian.
The restaurant is owned by Johnny Chen, and Leif Miller is the Executive Chef.
Justin Hill, General Manager, said the menu features a little bit of everything. “We have tuna, salmon, red snapper, lots of crabmeat, oysters (grilled, fried, fresh), steak, soups, pastas and salads.”
Oyster and Seafood plans to serve alcohol and has applied for the needed liquor license. While it is awaiting approval from Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), the restaurant is allowing patrons to bring a brown bag with a receipt into the restaurant.
The cocktail menu features everything from chocolate martinis, to top-shelf margaritas. It also has wine, beer and sake available.
“We will have a special chef made dessert every night, and we will be giving out samples during our opening week,” Hill said.
Currently, the restaurant does not have catering or delivery, but does offer to-go orders.
The price range is around $15-$20 a dish.
Hours are Monday through Saturday, 4:30 p.m. until 12 a.m., Sunday 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and lunch is served on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
