Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, September 16
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six suspicious activities, five alarms, four disturbances, four careless driving, three motorist assists, a recovered property, a noise violation, a public intoxication, a welfare concern, a harassment, a littering, a malicious mischief and an auto burglary at El Mariachi
Oxford police investigated three wreck, issued 40 traffic citations and made 14 arrests on the following charges:

Shoplifting
Warrant served
Public intoxication
Minor in possession and fake ID
Public intoxication and fake ID
Cutting corner and open container
No tag, fake ID and minor in possession
Speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia
No tag light and possession of drug paraphernalia
No tag light, no insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia
Suspended driver’s license and possession of Schedule III narcotics.
University police responded to the following incidents:
Five vehicle stops
Traffic detail at University circle
Accidental hit and run on campus
Vandalism to vehicle at Sigma Alpha Epsilon house
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following call: a smell of smoke at 4:51 p.m. likely caused by a belt on HVAC locking up at FedEx Center construction site
