Oxford Crime Report: Tuesday, September 15
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: four disturbances, three malicious mischief, two alarms, two scams, a code violation, a suspicious activity, a welfare concern, a lost property, a noise violation, a fire department assist, a 911 hang up, a careless driver, a petit larceny, a lost property, and a harassment.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 37 traffic citations and made nine arrests on the following charges:

Suspended driver’s license
No driver’s license and no insurance
Disturbing the peace and public intoxication
No seatbelt and possession of drug paraphernalia
Expired tag, no insurance, suspended driver’s license and DUI
Wrong way one a one way, no insurance, suspended driver’s license and DUI
University police responded to the following incidents:
Two vehicle stops
Two traffic details
Report of harassment
Petit larceny at Turner Center
Vehicle accident at Ford Center
Grand larceny at the Center for Manufacturing Excellence
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
Fire at 6:56 p.m. by a paper towel dispenser in the restroom at the pavilion at Stone Center
Smoke detector activated at 11:25 p.m. by burned food at Northgate C205.
