The new store will offer a women’s department among other merchandise

After months of construction work, Hinton and Hinton opened the new addition to their store to the public this weekend.

The new addition to the store contains a women’s department, a footwear department, and a custom clothing section for men.

Women admire shirts and outerwear for fall

“Guys can come in and pick the swatches on a suit or coat they want made,”Forrest Hinton, owner of the storefront stated. “The best way to describe it is if there’s an exclusive fabric you’re looking for, you can go through these swatches and find it. Also, the custom section is beneficial if you’re hard to fit. A lot of guys aren’t stock size. For example, if a football player comes in, he’s going to be wide atop and narrow towards the bottom. It doesn’t work off the rack you have to make those clothes.”

New merchandise fills the store

The women’s section of the new addition to the store houses  women’s clothing that is currently in the store and additional merchandise.
“We won’t be selling dresses or things like that,” Hinton stated. We sell women’s extensions of the men’s clothing. Each brand we have for men, we’ll have for women.”

The store now offers a custom clothing section for men.

Hinton and Hinton’s customer base has seen major expansion since their establishment in 1991 and looks to see continued expansion in the future. When they opened in their first location, they received more outerwear in August than expected, the weather still warm, with no demand for outerwear at the time. Hinton asserted that the business took an unexpected turn for the best the day of the first football game that year.

“We ended up getting all of our coats early,” Hinton stated. We had them for sale in August, during which it was still hot outside. There was a cold spell the first home game and a lot of people didn’t have coats. That’s how we got a jumpstart and we’ve been selling since.”

The store is filled with decorative items from the beginning to the end

The store is filled with decorative pieces, from the beginning of the store to end. Hinton stated that decorations for the store were gathered over time. The store is also full of merchandise. Hinton asserted that the system works that way and they don’t plan on changing it. The current store setting will pretty much stay the same.

“My son Stephen is our merchandise manager and creative director,” Hinton stated. Over the years of traveling we would buy different pieces and store them. He sees the way he wants the space to look and simply creates it. Our store expresses a certain lifestyle as a result of his vision. We’ve been working on our new space 24/7 and he’s been buying merchandise to once again fulfill the overall vision of the storefront.”

Employees at Hinton and Hinton dedicate themselves to providing excellent customer service. They take pride in assuring that the shopping environment is one that customers will favor, and look forward to visiting again.

“Customer service is what keeps our customers coming back,” Hinton stated. We’ve been working on this a couple of years to make sure our customers are happy… And they are so far. We’re very excited about the launch of our new addition to the store.”
