Elizabeth Heiskell of Woodson Ridge Farms Appears on Today Show
Set your DVR to record the Today Show this morning from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. to see Elizabeth Heiskell serve a generous dinner to Erica Hill.
Elizabeth Heiskell recently welcomed Erica Hill, correspondent and weekend co-anchor for the NBC Today Show to the Mid-Summer Tomato Dinner in Oxford in July.
During the visit, Hill enjoyed cocktails made from Debutante Farmer Bloody Mary mix which was recognized as the best Bloody Mary mix by Southern Living along with fried green tomatoes topped with pimento and cheese, double-cut pork chop with tomato jam. For dessert, she served a cherry tomato and black cherry cobbler with vanilla bean ice-cream.
Heiskell educated Hill and attendees of that dinner event, and now viewers of the Today Show, many creative ways to prepare a delicious tomato dish.
“The dinner reminded me of a great harvest. It was a wonderful experience,” she said.
