Funky’s Adoptive Pet of August: Gus, the Siamese-Tabby
Ever heard of the internet sensation, Nala Cat? Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society has its equivalent of that adorable mix: Gus.
Gus is a kitten around 10 months old. His rescuer surrendered him to the OLHS after finding him as a stray on Harris Drive just off Jackson Avenue West.
Despite being found in the streets, Gus is an affectionate, house-trained kitten. He meows softly to point of nearly squeaking. Gus is in good health so he has plenty of energy, perfect for a little pep to anyone’s homes and lives.
Zarabeth Childress, an OLHS volunteer who enjoys socializing with the cats, said, “He’s a very sweet, very nice kitten!”
He can be found in the free roaming kitten room at the Humane Society with his roommate, Jaq. His adoption fee is $100, including neuter surgery, feline vaccinations, a dewormer, Feline Leukemia testing and a microchip along with a month of tick, flea and heartworm preventative along with a month-long 24PetWatch Pet Insurance.
Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society is located at 413 McElroy Drive. For adoption inquiries they can be contacted at OLHSadoptions@gmail.com and 662-801-6788.
