Oxford Police Arrest Man on Square for Allegedly Robbing Victim at Gunpoint

Breaking News Graphic_WEBOxford police officers took one man into custody last night for allegedly robbing a victim at gunpoint on the Oxford Square. According to officers, there were no shots fired and no one was injured.

At approximately 9:11 p.m., officers responded to 160 Courthouse Square, where they identified potential witnesses and a victim. After initial investigation, it was discovered that the suspect left the area on foot after the attempted robbery. The weapon was recovered at the scene.

The victim directed officers to the area where the suspect ran, and officers located one of the individuals linked to the incident. That person was taken into custody. Officers are now looking for an additional person of interest and are pursing all leads. At this time, the case is still under investigation.
