Jonathan Liddell – Grand Larceny
On August 10, 2015, investigators of the Oxford police department served an arrest warrant on Jonathan Matthew Liddell, 28 of Grenada, for Grand Larceny (97-17-41). Jonathan is a former employee of Car Wash USA on Jackson Avenue and the owner filed charges after alleging that Jonathan stole over $1,000 from the business while he was employed. Liddell was taken to the Lafayette County Justice Court and his bond was set at $1,500.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: five alarms, four suspicious activities, three disturbances, a welfare concern, an ambulance assist, a motorist assist, a careless driver, a trespassing, a petit larceny, a harassment, a grand larceny, a false pretense, a fire department assist and an improper parking.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 20 traffic citations and made eight arrests on the following charges:
- (2) Careless driving with DUI
- (2) Shoplifting
- Careless driving, running a red light and DUI
- Trespassing
- No tag, no insurance and a suspended driver’s license
- Speeding with possession of drug paraphernalia
University police responded to the following incidents: seven vehicle stops, a suspicious vehicle at Campus Walk, and a speeding with a suspended driver’s license on Hathorn Road.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following incidents: a smoke detector malfunction at 12:55 a.m. on third floor west stairwell at Croft Institute, a smoke detector malfunction at 7:20 a.m. at Faulkner Flats building 13, a cancelled call at 7:47 a.m. at Faulkner Flats, a prank pull of the fire alarm at 12:51 p.m. on second floor at University parking garage, and a cancelled call at 4:21 p.m. at Campus Creek.
