Chandler Nissan Donates to Oxford Charger Booster Club

Larry Chandler, owner of Chandler Nissan, donated $1,000 Friday to the Oxford Charger Booster Club for the upcoming inaugural event, Oxford Chargers Boosters & Blues fundraiser.

Geoffrey Yoste, president of the Oxford Chargers Booster Club, said he could not be more appreciative of Chandler’s generosity.
“This fundraiser wouldn’t be possible at all without the generous contributions and support of great local businesses like Chandler Nissan,” Yoste said. “The neat thing about Chandler Nissan is not only are they a great corporate citizen, but they’re invested in the Oxford Charger program. We’re just so appreciative.”

Chandler said he is always happy to help young people excel.

“We think it’s a great opportunity for the parents and their child to be a part of an activity that brings them together,” Chandler said.

Funds donated to the Oxford Chargers Booster Club go toward the 24 sports teams in middle and high school, which hosts more than 1,000 student athletes.

The Oxford Chargers Booster & Blues fundraising event will take place on August 15 at 8 p.m. at The Library Sports Bar in Oxford.

Tickets are $75 per couple or $50 per individual and can be purchased at University Sporting Goods Store on the Square or at Oxford University Bank locations.
