Oxford Police Arrest Lee County Inmate in Oxford
Oxford police on Wednesday reportedly arrested a Lee County inmate in connection with burglaries in Lafayette and Yalobusha Counties.
Montecuz Goliday, 23, was reportedly being held on non-violent charges and was working off a fine when he walked away from a work center.
According to reports from WTVA, a witness saw Montecuz Goliday, 23, walk out of a home on Booker Road in Oxford with stolen property in his hands. Police arrested him afterward.
WTVA also reports that Goliday was given a $10,000 bond in the Oxford case and was connected to a Yalobusha County crime where a small safe and credit card were stole from a home in July. Video surveillance from a local business reportedly helped link Goliday to the stolen credit card.
Goliday faces two counts of grand larceny and one count of home burglary, according to reports.
