Albeit, the name gives it away, Campus Book Mart is first and foremost a bookstore for students to buy college textbooks.

Wide selection of children’s clothing

But it’s deceptively much more than just a bookstore. They have a fully stocked apparel section, including hats, T-shirts, sweatshirts, game day polos and an infant’s section.

They also have a Grove section with tents, chairs, tables and flags. Beyond that they have mugs and other souvenirs and an entire wall of bags and backpacks. Along with ready-to-buy art Campus Book Mart can also commission custom art pieces with their in-house artists.

Back to textbooks. Campus Book Mart has the full selection of books students will need to be prepared for the coming semester. When is the best time to buy books? Manager Matt Johnson says it depends on the semester, “For the fall, it’s ok to wait until the week before or even the first week of class. But for spring get them as soon as possible. If history says anything, spring is always more tricky.”

Art pieces and decor available for sale

At the end of each semester Campus Book Mart holds a book buy back, which is where students can catch the best deals on their books they wish to sell back. But feel free to bring your old books by any time of the year to see how much you can get for them.

Merchandise features true Ole Miss spirit

Campus Book Mart just opened their second location in Oxford. The original store is by the movie theatre and JC Penny, but the new location is more conveniently located farther down Jackson Avenue in the Oakwood Plaza Shopping Center by IHOP.

Campus Book Mart will hold a grand opening ceremony Friday, August 21 and an open house August 22 with food for guests.

They can be reached at (662) 234-5993 (old location) and (662) 638-6171 (new location). Check out the website or their Facebook page.

Their summer hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
