Oxford Flea, Oxford Maker’s Market Return August 1
The first day of August falls on Saturday, and with it comes Oxford Flea and Oxford Maker’s Market!
Oxford Flea Market has some remaining space open for interested vendors this Saturday. Liz and Benjy Foster, its founders, are offering a 50 percent discount to vendors if they sign up before Thursday night. Whoever signs up before Thursday night will register a 10 x 10 space for $20. Those who have already registered for this Saturday have the option of either a double booth or a credit toward next month. Online registration is only open through this Thursday at www.OxfordFlea.com.
Among the vendors, 6 N TUBBS Bakery is spotlighted on Oxford Flea’s Facebook for its New York-style bagels that will debut this Saturday at the market. The bagels will be plain, jalapeƱo, cinnamon raisin along with an assortment of cream cheese flavors.
The Oxford Flea Market will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., its new summer hours, in the HottyToddy.com parking lot near the corner of Molly Barr and Jackson Avenue.
Oxford Maker’s Market will also be the same Saturday on the Courthouse lawn from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be 40-plus vendors around the entire courthouse lawn. Daniel Lee Perea (El BeBop Kid) will be playing live music from noon until 4 p.m. to promote his new album, “Hard Times.”
9 Lives Cat Rescue will be holding raffles for two paintings as well as selling handmade jewelry donated by local artists. All proceeds from their sales will benefit the rescue.
