Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, July 22
On Wednesday, July 22, Oxford police responded to the following incidents: One civil matter, six suspicious activities, one animal complaint, one petit larceny, two alarms, trespassing, one welfare ooncern and code violation
Oxford police investigated three wrecks, issued 18 traffic citations and made four arrests on the following charges:
- Switched tag and suspended driver’s license
- Switched tag, suspended driver’s license and warrant served
- Two shoplifting
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls:
- Jefferson Ave. – call cancelled
- Somerville Hall – third floor smoke detector malfunction
- Northgate A – workers busted a water pipe activating the water flow alarm
- Sigma Chi house – workers activated a smoke detector
- Hickman, Goza and Spraggins – smoke and pull station detector malfunctio
