Jamaris Robertson – Burglary
On Monday, July 20, investigators with the Oxford police department arrested Jamaris Robertson, 18 of Oxford, for burglaries at Oxford Intermediate School and the City Pool. The investigators identified him one of the suspects, but during the interview he gave false information on the date of his birth. As the investigators continued to research each suspect, they found Robertson is 18 years old. He has been charged as an adult with two counts of burglary. Robertson’s bond was set at $3,000.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: six suspicious activities, four alarms, two motorist assists, a noise violation, a petit larceny, a welfare concern, a credit card fraud, a careless driver, a disturbance, and an auto burglary at Faith Cove.
Oxford police investigated three wrecks, issued 23 traffic citations and made three arrests on the following charges:
- Careless driving, no car tag, and a DUI,/li>
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Public intoxication
University police department responded to the following incidents: seven vehicle stops, an accidental hit and run in Women’s Terrance Lot, and a vehicle damaged at Paul B. Johnson Commons.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: a smoke detector activated at 8:32 p.m. by the workers at at Khayat Law School, a duct detector M1-152 malfunction at 8:45 p.m. (last night) and 6:07 a.m. (today) at Khayat Law School.
