Thad Cochran Issues Statement on Iran Nuclear Agreement
U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-Miss.), chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and its Subcommittee on Defense, today issued the following statement regarding the announcement of a nuclear agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran:
“Iran cannot be allowed to gain nuclear weapons capabilities, and I am skeptical whether the agreement reached by the Obama administration is truly verifiable and enforceable. Congress must cast a critical eye on this deal to ensure that it does not reward a nation that actively sponsors terrorism. I look forward to carefully examining the agreement to ensure that it protects our national security interests and our allies.”
Cochran in May supported passage of the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, which expands congressional oversight of the Iran nuclear deal.

There’s just no telling what the real story is. I just hope he’s all ears and will not stand for what appears to be another o’bum deal. What’s in in for us? Nothing, it is said – But, that the whole reason for OB’s promotion to president in the first place was to get this deal passed by those with big money and
whose interest do not coincide with our own.

IRAN CANNOT BE TRUSTED. BEFORE ANY AGREEMENT IS SIGNED, U.S. MUST DEMAND RELEASE OF 4 AMERICANS HELD BY IRAN,NOW.OBAMA TURNED 5 ISIS PRISONERS LOOSE TO GET ONE AMERICAN BACK, GUILITY OF DESERTION. WHOSE SIDE IS YOUR PRESIDENT ON, ANYWAY

Well, I heard his explanation to that certain press member who asked and supposedly embarrassed and exposed him with the question, and I actually thought his response made sense, once he gained his composure, this is, not to allow them another chance to ask for another concession.
So, Mike, your idea is a good one that, now it is the job of the Congress to demand they be freed first (and probably lots of other things, too, according to what the conservative pundits convey that we are giving away the farm in this agreement).

You have to watch Thad. First he votes for it, now he’s skeptical.
I’m skeptical he won’t vote with his Democrat buddies!
