BREAKING: Southeastern Lafayette, Other North Mississippi Counties Under Flash Flood Warning Until 12:30 p.m.
UPDATE:
Northern Calhoun County, Southeastern Lafayette County and Western Pontotoc County have been included in the following warning until 12:30 p.m. New locations included in the warning are Randolph, Tula, Paris, Denmark, Banner, Thaxton, Toccopola, Lafayette Springs, Sarepta, Robbs, Pannell, Altus, Delay, Matthews, Yocona and Esperanza.
The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a flash flood warning until 11:15 a.m. today for the following counties in Mississippi: Southern Benton, Northeastern Lafayette, Southwestern Prentiss, Southeastern Marshall, Southern Tippah, Northern Lee and the entire portion of Union County.
Doppler Radar estimates 4 to 6 inches of rain has occurred over the last three hours, and showers and thunderstorms will produce an additional two to four inches of rain over the next three hours.
The following locations will most likely experience the flooding: Booneville, New Albany, Holly Springs, Ripley, Baldwyn, Saltillo, Guntown, Blue Mountain, Ecru, Etta, Cambridge, Blair, New Harmony, Heeler, Keownville, Bethlehem, Pratts, Friendship, Pinedale, Gravestown and Sherman.
