Oxford Maker’s Market Returns for July 4 Weekend
The first Saturdays of every month in Oxford have plenty to do for all, and this Saturday along with the Oxford Flea Market in the HottyToddy.com parking lot has the Oxford Maker’s Market on the Courthouse lawn!
This Saturday, Oxford Maker’s Market will be open an hour earlier at 9:00 a.m. and will go on until 4 p.m. on the Courthouse lawn in the historic Oxford Square. According to its Facebook, the vendors may be there as early as 7:30 a.m. The market features 25 vendors full of arts, crafts and handmade jewelry from local artists. There will be an art raffle featuring two paintings by local artists benefiting the 9 Lives Cat Rescue. The Kites will play live music from noon until 4 p.m.
Jake Sesums of YoknapaTaco, Oxford’s first food truck soon to arrive for business this September, is featuring homemade fruit popsicles – Oxsicles – for many to grab a bite of to keep cool during the July 4 parade.
Since its founding in 2009, Maker’s Market has committed to providing a venue for undiscovered artists of all mediums from paint to music to handcrafted goodies. First time vendors, non-profits and fundraisers can open a vendor there for free.
