Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, June 17
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: seven alarms; seven auto burglaries at 1800 West Jackson Ave., 300 Hathorn Road, 1700 Anderson Road, 100 Anchorage Road, 2000 Berry Cove and Bickerstaff Lane; three suspicious activities; two suspicious persons; two disturbances; two incidents of malicious mischief; an open door; an improper parking; harassing phone calls; a welfare concern; a shoplifting; a petit larceny; a 911 hang-up call and a residential burglary at 200 Saint Andrews Circle.
Oxford police investigated four wrecks, issued 11 tickets and made two arrests on the following charges: a shoplifting and a domestic violence per simple assault.
University police responded to the following incidents: five vehicle stops, an underage possession of alcohol at University Place, a trespassing on the baseball field, a suspicious vehicle on Hathorn Road and a moving violation per speeding and suspended license at University Place.
Oxford Fire Department is currently busy.
