Curtis Anthony Cook – Burglary and Domestic Violence – Aggravated Assault
On Friday June 12, 2015, officers with the Oxford police department responded to a disturbance call within the city limits where a male subject had entered into a residence and assaulted a female victim. Upon arrival and investigating on the scene, the police arrested Curtis Anthony Cook, 47 years of Oxford, for Burglary and Domestic Violence – Aggravated Assault. His bond was set at $10,000.
Dianne Evan – Felony Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle and DUI to second degree
On Friday June 12, 2015, officers with the Oxford police department arrested Dianne Evan, from Jackson, for Felony Fleeing In A Motor Vehicle and DUI to second degree. This incident occurred as a result of an officer attempting to make a traffic stop. Her bond was set at $10,000.
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: 14 disturbances, 13 alarms, five malicious mischief, five suspicious activities, three 911 hang up calls, three animal complaints, three ambulance assists, two welfare concerns, two petit larceny, two lost property, a suspicious person, a fire department assist, a reckless driving, a careless driving, a public drunk, a leaving the scene of an accident, a motorist assist, a grand larceny and a motor vehicle theft.
Oxford police investigated 10 wrecks, issued 70 tickets and made 11 arrests on the following charges: (3) public drunks; a careless driving with a suspended driver’s license and a DUI to first degree; a careless driving with no car insurance and a DUI to first degree; a possession of alcohol by minor with possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI to first degree; a possession of alcohol by minor with DUI to first degree; a DUI to first degree, a suspended driver’s license; a burglary with domestic violence per aggravated assault.
University police responded to the following incidents: 26 vehicle stops, two suspicious vehicles at Ford Center, an intoxicated person at University Place, and an intoxicated person on University Avenue.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: two second floor smoke detector malfunctions at 9:18 p.m. and 10:14 p.m. at Sigma Phi Epsilon house on June 12, a heat duct detector alerted at 1:04 a.m. by burned food in the microwave at McDonald’s on University Avenue on June 13, a smoke detector alerted at 7:35 a.m. by sanding sheet rock at Phi Kappa Tau house on June 13, a heat duct detector alerted at 1:53 p.m. by a grill cleaning at McDonald’s on University Avenue on June 13, a smoke detector malfunction at 3:35 p.m. and 9:01 p.m. at Thad Cochran building room 112D on June 13, a smoke detector activated at 12:10 p.m. by burned food in room 401 at The Marriott on June 14, and a general alarm malfunction at 8:07 p.m. at Oxford Health and Rehab on June 14.
