Oxford Crime Report: Wednesday, June 10
Oxford police responded to the following incidents: three alarms, two suspicious activities, two improper parking, a disturbance, a 911 hang up call, harassing phone calls, a trespassing, a simple assault, a scam, and a lost property.
Oxford police issued 47 traffic citations and made seven arrests on the following charges: (2) warrant served; careless driving with DUI; a speeding with no car insurance and a false identifying information and also DUI; a driving with one headlight and possession of marijuana and schedule II narcotics along with a minor in possession of alcohol and DUI; a speeding with a suspended driver’s license with littering and a possession of an open container and also DUI; and a driving with no seatbelt nor car insurance but with a suspended driver’s license.
University police responded to the following incidents: four vehicle stops, and a vehicle accident on Chapel Lane.
Oxford Fire Department responded to the following calls: two smoke detector malfunctions at 8:22 p.m. and 9:14 p.m. at 1304 Gardenia Cove.
